SUBTYPEVENT401: Closure of venues of entertainment and culture (museums, cinemas)

Indicates whether the document introduces closures of various entertainment and culture venues, such as theaters, museums, concert halls, cinemas, parks, zoos, entertainment parks, fairs, sport arenas, etc. Divides the venues into public / private and open / closed spaces.

SUBTYPEVENT402: Restrictions on public gatherings

Indicates whether the document introduces restrictions or a ban on public gatherings (e.g. number of people allowed to gather in public open spaces, number of people during a demonstration, number of people during a big event etc.). Measured as the lowest indicated number of people.

SUBTYPEVENT403: Daycare/ kindergarten closure

Indicates whether the document introduces a closure of pre-school care. Refers to physical closures and access to the service.

SUBTYPEVENT404: Primary school closure

Indicates whether the document introduces a closure of universities, tertiary / vocational schools, and adult education. Refers to physical closures and access to the service (i.e. if the schools provide the access to the remote teaching for everyone, the variable is not coded).

SUBTYPEVENT407: Closure of non-essential shops

Indicates whether the document introduces closures of non-essential shops, such as hairdressers, tattoo parlors, sex workers, clothes and shoe boutiques, bookshops etc. Divides the shops into three main groups: 1) close contact shops, 2) horeca (hotels, restaurants, bars, cafés), and 3) other non-essential shops.
